Contact the Education, Energy, and the Environment Committee

The best thing you can do now is to contact members on this committee. Idealy, is the bill is in committee and the senator or delegate represents your district, that's the best person to contact. Legislators give more attention to correspondence or calls from people in their district.

Mike McKay is the Senator for Maryland's District 1 which covers Garrett, Allegany, and Washington counties. He is a co-sponsor of the fracking bill and apparently doe not consider fracking's many negative impacts to be detrimental to the citizens he represents. If you live in one of these counties, especially Garrett, call his office and let him know your opinion.
